NEW Season 11 Poster: My Thoughts & Analysis

I share my thoughts on the Season 11 poster from Hallmark Media International!

Take a moment to soak in this poster! I am SHOCKED! I never dreamed Nathan and Elizabeth would be on a poster together. NEVER! Keep reading for my thoughts and analysis of the poster.

Hearties, What a pleasant surprise to stumble across this beautiful poster! (Thank you to The Heartie Observer for finding it!) You may be wondering if it is an official poster, and yes it is! Hallmark Media International dropped this poster at some point. But now that I have found it I have lots of thoughts!

At First Glance: Everything I Noticed

I may be biased but I think this is one of the most stunning posters from Hallmark Channel. Especially, a When Calls the Heart poster.

I noticed at first glance Nathan and Elizabeth are standing fairly close together. They are almost touching and this has to mean something, right? As a friend pointed out on Instagram, this is a stark contrast between the Season 9 poster when Lucas and Elizabeth were engaged. So what does this mean for a potential romance with Nathan and Elizabeth? I think it indicates that we will see a natural progression of a romantic relationship between them. Also, it shouldn’t be overlooked they are the only characters featured on this poster. If a romance is not in the air then what’s the point? If you compare this poster to a typical Hallmark Movie poster, then we are supposed to glean that Nathan and Elizabeth are going to be a couple. I am 100% confident in that prediction.

Next, I noticed the color scheme of blues, pinks, and purples. This color scheme is found in Nathan and Elizabeth’s outfits and the background with the sunset and mountains. Even Elizabeth’s make-up is a light, subtle pink with neutral colors. I associate shades of pink, purple, and blue with LOVE or ROMANCE. This is why it popped out to me when I first glanced at the poster. The lighter shades of color coupled with the ray of light indicate HAPPINESS or LIGHTNESS. Overall, I sense a lighter and more happy feel with the poster.

Speaking of happiness, another thing I noticed is both Nathan and Elizabeth are smiling while looking into each other’s eyes! If anything suggests happiness it is certainly a smile. Add them looking into each other’s eyes and what do you have? My answer is simply LOVE.

Lastly, Elizabeth’s hair AND dress length is shorter. The short hair is different from her long hair in the short preview clip we got last October. My question is will we see both styles in Season 11? Or is the longer hair the actual style and the shorter hair is Erin’s actual hairstyle when they took the promo photos? Her dress length being above her ankles is also new. That is a not-so-subtle nod to the 1920s style. I am curious if we see a change in style with all the characters in Season 11.

BONUS: Nathan is not wearing his red serge or anything Mountie-related. Instead, we see him in his suspenders and a new blue shirt (Bluey thanks to Suspenders Unbuttoned for that name!) That has to be significant and deserves a section in my post. Perhaps Elizabeth is finally seeing him as more than a serge or his job! She sees him as Nathan the Man. I cannot wait to find out soon!
