Season 11 Questions & Predictions (Part 2)
Here is Part 2 of Season 11 Questions and Predictions with questions from you all! Enjoy. I discuss a marriage of convenience, young love, hot springs, unpopular opinions, and MORE!
Thank you for reading part one and submitting your top questions for Season 11! I don’t know the answers but I thought it would be fun to give my thoughts and predictions. Enjoy Part 2 of Season 11 Questions & Predictions!
Question #1: Will Mei have storylines that involve her working as a pharmacist?
It is a little disheartening Mei’s role as a pharmacist has been placed on the back burner. While we know Mei will have a budding romance with Mike Hickam this season, I am hoping we see a little more pharmacy work. When Mei first arrived in Hope Valley as the pharmacist I was thrilled and curious about how she would integrate into the community. I think it would be interesting to see Faith and Mei work closer since they are the two with medical backgrounds. Realistically, it would make sense for the Doctor and Pharmacist to have a closer working relationship. I do not wish to harm any character but seeing more patients in the infirmary with Faith and Mei tending to them would go a long way to develop further storylines surrounding their careers. They are both women in a predominately male field but against all odds are successful. I wish When Calls the Heart would showcase that a little more.
Question #2: Will Robert join the Mounties?
I don’t think this is a likely option due to logistics. Either Robert would have to leave the show or he would need to be elevated to the main cast for them to do the story justice. Nathan would likely be his training officer and frankly, he doesn’t have the time to do that storyline. I would rather Nathan focus on Allie and his potential relationship with Elizabeth for the foreseeable future. Perhaps later down the road but I don’t necessarily think we need to see it on screen. I would rather focus on the main adults and let the kids be kids. It might be fun to see Robert shadow Nathan on rounds or investigate crimes in the town!
Question #3: Will Harry the Bandit remain relevant in Season 11?
I hope so! He had a recurring in S10 but I think with his connection to Eagle Creek it would be fun to see him return. Perhaps he will help Nathan with an undercover sting? Honestly, it has been hard for the writers to do justice to the storylines involving recurring cast members. With so many main cast members time is hard to come by so these stories often fall to the wayside or go into the black hole. But I do think it would be beneficial for him to return for an episode or two to close out the water diversion storyline. Although, I doubt Harry will return so I am curious how they will make this storyline feel complete without him.
Question #4: Will Lucas open his heart to finding love again?
I think he will! Lucas may not open his right right away or in S11, but I think love is in the cards for him again. I mentioned this before in a previous post, but I am all for a Lucas and Fiona pairing! Season 11 is the perfect opportunity to lay the foundation. They can connect over broken engagements and Fiona can give him advice on navigating his heartbreak. I also think it would be fun to see Fiona be his advisor which would allow them to connect more organically. Whoever he ends up with I want to see their relationship developed organically. I want to see a slow burn with Lucas and his lifetime. I still think Fiona is the best option.
Question #5: Are the hot springs still part of Season 11?
I hope we continue to see the hot springs at the center of Hope Valley. It was a nice place to relax and provided much-needed peace. Aside from being a relaxing place, I don’t think the water diversion storyline is over so it wouldn’t make sense to leave out the hot springs. Plus, if this season takes in the spring or late summer It would be the perfect place for the kids to hang out or for a Hope Valley gathering!
Question #6: Will Allie continue writing poetry?
This is an interesting question! So often I feel like the kids have inconsistent storylines or their storylines fall flat. Allie’s storyline is often inconsistent and does not carry over between seasons. I hope they circle back to the poetry storyline because it was unique. Furthermore, I would like for them to revisit Angela's singing. Seeing these two encourage one another was heartwarming. I need more of it in S11! Furthermore, a little more consistency in kids’ storylines would help with the natural flow between episodes and seasons. So far we have heard two of Allie’s poems and I am sure she has more!
Question #7: Are Allie & Robert going to court in Season 11 or soon?
Are you ready for an unpopular opinion? I don’t want Allie and Robert to court at all. I don’t understand the strong desire some fans have in pairing them up. Allie and Robert are still kids. Let them be kids without all the drama of a relationship. There are too many adults pairing off and having the kids do it would take away from the show. Kids don’t need to pair off into a relationship. As Nathan told Allie, they can enjoy each other as friends right now. My least favorite Allie storyline was her moping around town because Robert might “like like” Angela instead of her. So like I said, let the kids be kids!
Question #8: How will Fiona’s engineering expertise be incorporated?
First, you must know Fiona’s expertise in engineering and being a telephone operator in earlier seasons is my FAVORITE. I want her to sell or hire help in the barbershop while she focuses on advancing the technology in Hope Valley. I miss her on the switchboard and fixing all the pesky telephone malfunctions. That’s why in Season 10 I LOVED her involvement in the radio storyline. Despite the men doubting her, she used her engineering expertise to fix the radio. With the advancement and addition of early technology to Hope Valley, I imagine many malfunctions could occur. Fiona is the perfect one to fix any technological errors. Fiona operates the radio during Lucas’s speech at the Governor’s ball. I would like them to continue with that momentum and let Fiona shine.
Question #9: What is the possibility of a marriage of convenience between Lucas and Fiona?
Prepare for another unpopular opinion. I hope this does NOT happen at all. Fiona deserves to be given a love story done correctly. Lucas does too for that matter. There is no benefit for either character to abruptly marry one another. I struggle to see the appeal of a marriage of convenience. Who is this marriage convenient for? It certainly isn’t the characters. It might help some fans feel secure in the current pairings. But I feel like it would be a huge mistake. Marrying these two off would significantly disrupt their storylines and close doors for new ones. I want to see Fiona fall in love, get engaged, and get married. I do not accept a rushed marriage for any character. I support a potential pairing between them but a marriage is too much.
Question #10: Will Molly find love or remain single?
Call me crazy but I’m still hoping for Bill and Molly to end up together. We were told they parted ways as friends in Season 9 BUT we didn’t see it. They abruptly ended that storyline with no on screen resolution and I think it’s worth revisiting. I would like her to remain single if she and Bill are not going to court. Same with Bill. This is another perplexing storyline that leaves me scratching my head. Hopefully, we get some clarity soon.
Question #11: Will Dylan Parks (Allie’s Father) return?
I hope he returns because that was another unfinished storyline. I know he’s in jail but he’s a criminal and I’m sure he can escape. Since that storyline in S8, I have wanted Allie to meet her biological father. Or at the very least talk about him if he doesn’t return. I am not hopeful they will ever bring up Dylan Parks again. Just as they forgot her name was Allie Parks before the adoption.
